The BOMAG BW 28 RH utilizes heavy pneumatic rubber tires to deliver a combination of static vertical pressure and multidirectional horizontal kneading forces. This flexing kneading action seals surface micro-cracks and pores, yielding an exceptionally dense, smooth, and water-impermeable pavement layer. Featuring a large ballast compartment and flexible weight modularity, the machine's operating weight can be varied from an unladen base of 8.6 tonnes all the way up to a maximum gross weight of 28 tonnes (wheel load up to 3,500 kg per tire). Equipped with a three-way pivoting front axle for uniform load distribution, BOMAG ECOMODE, and an optional central tire inflation system, it ensures optimum compaction across all asphalt courses.
